emily should probably stop receiting useless facts.

Today in class, while going over some of the earlier references of medical knowledge, the teacher asked if one of us could define the word "trephination". Trephination, as if you didn't already know, is the act of drilling a hole into the skull. History tells us that this practice was used to help treat intracranial diseases and to help facilitate religious dealings with the Gods. This is all well and good, but it's probably not the best idea on the first day of classes (with new students to meet and form first impressions with) to receite the above word-for-word. Knowing this doesn't make you edgy, it's make you awkward. Oh well, at least I have the next 3 years to show my peers that I can be normal (or, at the very least, I can show them that I can just a little).
